1. What this page is about

eSIM Guide Pro compares eSIM providers and recommends plans for travelers. We fund this website through affiliate commissions: when you book a plan from a partner provider through one of our links, we receive a commission. There are no additional costs for you — the price is identical to what you would pay if you booked directly with the provider.

This page explains in detail how our affiliate relationships work, which obligations we have, and how these relationships affect our editorial reviews — or, more importantly, do not.

2. Legal basis

Advertising in editorial contexts is regulated by law in Germany. The following provisions apply to this website:

• § 6 (1) (1) TMG (German Telemedia Act): Commercial communication must be clearly identifiable as such.
• § 22 (1) MStV (German Interstate Media Treaty): Advertising must be easily recognizable and clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
• § 5a UWG (Act Against Unfair Competition): Concealed commercial intent is prohibited.

For these reasons, we mark all affiliate links as such and publish this disclosure. On every provider and comparison page, you will additionally find a banner above the content that flags the page as containing affiliate links.

3. Our affiliate partners

We are affiliate partners of the following eSIM providers. On every provider page and in our comparisons, we link to them using the HTML attribute rel="sponsored noopener nofollow" and target="_blank":

When you click such a link, your browser will receive a tracking cookie set by the provider or a third-party affiliate network. This cookie associates a later booking with our site. We ourselves do not receive any personal data about you — only an anonymized commission report.

4. Economic interest

Affiliate commissions are our primary source of revenue. We therefore have an economic interest in you booking with one of our partners — we want to disclose this fact transparently so that you can take it into account when evaluating our recommendations.

Commission rates differ between providers. For reasons of contractual confidentiality, we do not publish specific rates. We do, however, guarantee that commission size has no influence on the order of providers or on the rating in our comparisons. The decisive factors are the documented properties (country coverage, plan variety, prices, app rating, hotspot availability).

5. How we evaluate providers

Our reviews are based on publicly verifiable criteria:

• Country coverage: how many destinations the provider supports.
• Pricing: entry-level prices and typical plans (e.g. 5 GB / 30 days).
• Data options: availability of unlimited plans, package sizes, durations.
• App and setup experience: app store ratings, complexity of activation.
• Hotspot/tethering: availability across providers and packages.
• Support: reachability (chat, email), response times, languages.

We maintain this data publicly and verifiably (on the provider pages and in the comparisons). When a provider introduces new plans or features, we update the underlying data — and ratings change accordingly.

6. Currency of prices and plans

eSIM providers regularly adjust prices, plans and country lists. We strive to keep our data current, but we cannot guarantee day-to-day accuracy of every single piece of information. The price you see at checkout on the provider's site is always authoritative.

If you spot outdated information on our site, we'd appreciate a short note to the contact address listed under section 8.

7. Editorial independence

We do not accept money in exchange for preferred placements or for positive reviews. The order of providers in lists, the "Best Overall" and "Best Unlimited" labels, and the overall winner in comparisons are determined exclusively on the basis of the criteria above. A provider that is featured today as "Best Budget" can lose that status tomorrow — for example, if a competitor lowers its prices.

This disclosure applies to the entire website, including all language versions. If you find content that does not meet the standards above, please let us know.
